About Us

Our Mission Statement: Miller Music Academy fosters lifelong relationships with music by providing students and their families with meaningful, personalized lessons, performances and experiences. Students connect with other music lovers and performers universally by studying engaging music and learning transferable music skills under the direction of caring, nurturing master teachers.

Pam Miller is the director of Miller Music Academy. She is a passionate CA Credentialed Music Teacher with a Master’s Degree in Music Conducting from San Diego State University. She holds Bachelor Degrees in both Music Education and Music Performance from The University of Arizona.

Pam brings 15 years of teaching experience with students from the ages of 4 years old through teens, as well as adults. With a very diverse musical background, she has expertise in brass, and she plays and teaches every band

and orchestra instrument!

Pam connects with kids easily and has a natural gift for being intuitive about students learning styles and happily accommodates all students’ needs! Pam’s students, including several past Innovations Academy and The Learning Choice Academy students, can be found in honor bands and orchestras all over San Diego County.

A MESSAGE FROM OUR FOUNDER

Dear new music family,

Are you looking for a music class that values your families individuality? Are you looking for a music teacher with a gentle and friendly approach but you aren't ready to commit to expensive private lessons? Do you want something flexible, but dependable? There are far too many stories we've heard from adults who quit piano lessons as a child because they hated it, and now they regret it! We focus on creating music experiences that are meaningful, engaging and motivational! Through learning to perform music and read music, you become part of a universal community and a have a new way of connecting to others! Some of you may already play an instrument and are ready to join our band or orchestra classes. If you are brand new to music, we've got you covered! Come learn to perform music and get better at your instrument while growing your social skills and making friends in the process! Other positive side effects of learning music with our music teachers include heightened self-esteem, mood and concentration, improved math and reading skills and interest in new musical opportunities. We will do everything in our power to make sure your child succeeds.
