Pam Miller is a CA Credentialed Music Teacher with a Master’s Degree in Music Conducting from San Diego State University and Bachelor’s Degrees in Music Education and Music Performance from the University of Arizona. With over 17 years of experience teaching students ages 4 through adult, Pam is known for connecting easily with learners and adapting instruction to meet a wide range of learning styles. She specializes in differentiated group instruction that challenges each student appropriately while supporting continuous growth. Pam is deeply committed to inclusive education, designing programs that welcome neurodivergent students and those with diverse learning needs. Miller Music Academy proudly partners with the San Diego Regional Center and Charter Schools to expand access to high-quality music education for families who may not have it through public schools.

Pam founded Miller Music Academy in 2012 with a vision to create an inspiring, accessible, and community-centered music program. She believes music builds empathy, connection, and cultural understanding, and she prioritizes strong relationships with both students and families. Energetic, engaging, and purposeful in her teaching, Pam balances fun with a strong focus on musical fundamentals and meaningful performance opportunities. She also serves as an adjudicator and clinician for the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association and takes great pride in mentoring her talented teaching team.

Pam’s path as a music educator was shaped by formative training at Interlochen Arts Camp and mentorship from nationally respected conductors and educators. Her students regularly perform in honor ensembles across San Diego County, with many continuing on to study music at universities and conservatories.

We focus on creating music experiences that are meaningful, engaging and motivational! Through learning to perform music and read music, you become part of a universal community and a have a new way of connecting to others! Some of you may already play an instrument and are ready to join our band or orchestra classes. If you are brand new to music, we've got you covered! Come learn to perform music and get better at your instrument while growing your social skills and making friends in the process! Other positive side effects of learning music with our music teachers include heightened self-esteem, mood and concentration, improved math and reading skills and interest in new musical opportunities. We will do everything in our power to make sure your child succeeds.
